A visual device or structure used for advertising, display, or publicity, purposes.

PRIMARY USES 3.1 Page 13
Advertising sign or billboard is permitted in the following zones:
A, FP, FR, AB, LB, GB, SC, I**, IR .

ACCRESSORY USES 3.2b Page 14
For any primary use for which a special exception is prescribed an outdoor sign that advertises that use is authorized as an accessory use, if the sign is located on the same property as the use and the sign is approved by the commission.

HEIGHT OF STRUCTURES 4.1 Page 14
May be erected to a height not greater than 35 feet in an R1, R2, R3, or LR District. 75 feet in an IR District.

VISION OF CLEARANCE AT INTERSECTIONS 4.8 Page 23
At the intersection corner of any corner lot, the triangular spaces determined by the two lot lines at the corner and by a diagonal line connecting the two points on those lot lines that are 15 feet respectively from the corner shall be kept free of any obstruction to vision between the heights of 3 and 13 feet above the established grade.

Any outdoor advertising sign place along a state road must comply with the state regulations and acquire a permit from the state before receiving a county approval.
Any outdoor advertising sign placed along a county road must be no closer than the county road right of way, (which is 20 feet from the center of the road.)

In an AG, Forrest Recreation, or Industrial Reserve Zone an outdoor advertising sign and its supporting structure may not contain more than two (2) signs per facing and when night lighted, shall be so constructed as not to shine directly on the street or highway.

An improvement location permit for an outdoor advertising sign may not be granted unless it requires the relocation or removal of the sign within 60 days after the Building Commissioners notified that the land on which the sign is located, or land within 300 feet of the sign, has been platted for residential use or has been rezoned to an R1, R2, R3 or LR District.
